Varadaraja Adya Prashasti
Since 1989 Varadaraja Adya Prashasti, a cash award of Rs 11000 and a shield, to the person or organization who works for Kannada Marathi Amity. Many luminaries who have been honoured in the past rose to higher eminence and later received awards from the Govt of India. Some of them are Bharat Ratna Bhimsen Joshi, Padma Vibhushana Gangubai Hanagal. Other eminent awardees are V.Shivananda Patila, Uma Kulkarni, Saraju Katkar, K.J. Rao, Dr A, R, Thoreu, Dr D.S. Chaugule, Geetha Javadekar, Shimunje Parari, Veena Vangekar and others.
Other Distinction and Awards received
• 2005 Kannada Department of Mumbai University honoured Karnataka Sangha for the efforts to promote Kannada literature and culture outside Karnataka.
• In the 92nd Birth Anniversary Sammelan of the poet Dr Putturaj Gavai held at Gadag Karnataka Sangha received felicitation for the encouragement to classical music.
• In 2006 Govt of Karnataka endowed Suvarna Karnataka Rajyatsava Prashasthi on the occasion of the golden Jubilee celebrations of the formation of the Karnataka state.
• In 2017 Kalabharati was awarded "Achievers award for the Organizers of Music Events 2016" by Mumbai Music Forum.
• In 2011 Sangha was awarded Gandugali Kumara Rama Prashasthi by Kannada Hitarakshana Samasthe, Hospet Bellary for the services to Kannada language and culture at Mumbai.
• Since 2007 the Sangha and its members have earned mant honours in recognition of the work in the field of Kannada culture.
